Tokyo, JAPAN: Japan's toy giant Tomy employee Nozomi Saeki displays an educational gadget called a "Talking Globe", which has 20cm diameter globe with LED pointer, and can speak the country's name, local time, brain twisters for the country and other information about the country in Tokyo 12 April 2007. Tomy will put it on the market in October with a price of 12,800 yen (110 USD).

Sanyo will release it on the market 24 April at a price of 95,000 yen (790 USD).

Tokyo, JAPAN: Hiroyasu Hagiwara, of Japan's electronics giant Matsushita Electric Industrial displays the new high-definition DVD camcorder "HDS-DX3", equipped with three 560,000-pixel CCD, which enables to record and play full high-definition quality, 1,920 x 1,080-pixel images, on a 8-cm diameter DVD disk at the company's showroom in Tokyo, 05 April 2007. Matsushita will put it on the market 25 April with an estimated price of 140,000 yen (1,180 USD).

Sony will put the new line-up of flat TV Bravia series next month with price ranging between 120,000 yen (1,000 USD) to 720,000 yen (6,000 USD).

The new flat-screen TVs, sized 32-inch to 50-inch, has not only have a built-in 250GB HDD to record TV programs, but also has a iVDR standard HDD slot for external drive or to play pre-recorded iVDR HDD media. Hitachi will put it on the market 20 April with prices ranging from 250,000 yen (2,080 USD) to 570,000 yen (4,750 USD).

Tokyo, JAPAN: Japanese electronics giant Mitsubishi Electric unveils the world's first moving washing-drum washer-dryer, called the "Moving drum MVW-VD1", with a drum that can slunt angle between 0 and 20-degrees for washing, spin drying and hot air drying, on display in Tokyo, 19 March 2007. Mitsubishi claims the new washing machine can save washing and drying times, electric expenses. Mitsubishi Electric will put it on the market in May with an estimated price of 250,000 yen (2,100 USD).

Beijing, CHINA: A promoter shows off a latest pocket PC from Chinese computer giant Lenovo in Beijing, 17 March 2007. Lenovo reported an 18 percent rise in net profit for the third quarter, boosted by robust sales in China and increased overall shipments of personal computers, as in the three months to December, the company recorded a net profit of 57.73 million USD, up from 48.92 million USD a year earlier.
